We are pleased to present a free, high-quality sample pack of the venerable Roland TR-606 drum machine. No fancy gear or processing was used here, the samples were recorded straight off of the machine and into an audio interface. You will be able to load these samples into your favorite sampler and enjoy an authentic experience - as if you had the real thing on your desk.

You will find samples of all the drum sounds at various volume settings, with sixteen samples at each level. The drum voices on the 606 distort a bit when their volumes are set high, so having samples for a few different volume levels allows you to control how dirty you'd like your drums to sound. The samples are available in two formats: 16 bit at 44.1kHz and 24bit at 96kHz.

To download the samples, follow the link included in the .txt file attached to this album, and use the provided credentials. Note that you will be required to enter your email address to download the album and the aforementioned .txt file from Bandcamp.

Included here as well are two songs where the samples are employed exclusively for the drum sounds. These tunes should give you an idea of what is possible with the samples, but of course they represent only the tip of the iceberg of what you can do!. Naturally, we hope they are a joy to listen to in their own right!
